POSITION SUMMARY:
This individual will report into the Executive Director, Benefits Solution and this position will be responsible for dashboard reporting, assisting with benefits communications, coordinating responses to internal and external inquiries and escalations, Canadian Health and Pension benefit plans, support of reporting requirements for the Time Warner benefit plans, including Health and Welfare, Wellness, Defined Benefit and 401(k) plans.
This individual will work closely with the key stakeholders including, but not limited to, Executive Director, Benefits Solutions; Director, Benefits; Director, 401(k); Divisional Compensation and Benefits Leads, Divisional HR, IT, Legal, Benefits Finance, and several external service providers.
DUTIES/OBJECTIVES:
• Identifies opportunities for improvement, and participating in the development of new reporting capabilities in support of the benefits programs
• Resolves and coordinates escalations from key stakeholders including, but not limited to, service providers, HR Generalists and Divisional Compensation and Benefits Leads
• Summarizes nature of participant inquires/issues and potential trends and prepares and distributes reports as appropriate
• Develops/revises employee benefit communications including orientation, open enrollment materials, benefit meetings, and resource guides
• Prepares ad hoc reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Has primary responsibility for benefits new hire orientation and is an integral part of the annual enrollment team
• Assist with the management and administration of the Canadian Group benefits & retirement savings plans
• Monitors and summarizes vendor's service performance regarding responses to participant inquires and escalations
• Responds on behalf of the Enterprise to benefits surveys and benchmarking studies
• Monitors SLAs and works with service providers to improve performance metrics
• Demonstrates understanding of technical benefit plans knowledge related to theories, principles, legislative requirements and applications
• Works effectively with shared services teams
EXPERIENCE:
• 5 - 7 years relevant experience supporting benefit plans
• Experience working in a shared services environment for Benefit programs
• Proven experience working on Canadian Health, Welfare and Pension programs
• Benefit Communication experience
• Internal processes related to benefit program administration
SKILLS:
• Excellent data manipulation skills including Microsoft Excel
• Ability to create dashboard reporting from scratch
• Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals
• Speak confidently and effectively present information to a group of individuals
• Prepare clear and concise correspondence and reports
• Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports
• Organize work to meet priorities and deadlines
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to respond to common inquires and resolved complaints from internal and external partners in a professional, equitable, and timely manner
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and tasks with accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Ability to interact with senior level executives with composure and confidence
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
• Knowledge of benefit programs for both US and Canada
• Knowledge of benefits and related administration systems
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Advanced degree preferred
