POSITION SUMMARY:
In this newly created role, the HR Generalist supports the Global Real Estate focused on the Turner Properties organization and the Technology Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) HR focused on the Atlanta location with support across all domestic locations.
DUTIES/OBJECTIVES:
• Supports senior level Generalists in delivering HR services to business unit clients
• Responsible for communicating & informing employees of HR initiatives, project managing efforts, and ensuring programs are aligned with culture of business unit
• Handles day to day employee relations matters including conducting investigation interviews and escalating complex ER solutions to HR leadership
• Partner with Recruitment on background check investigations for pre-adverse finding and responsible handling of post-adverse findings
• Support the managers and staff in completing the performance management process including performance development reviews, goal setting, and mid-year discussions. Reviews submitted forms to ensure ratings/comments in line with HR standards; discusses issues with Senior Management; ensures compliance and provides overall assistance as needed.
• Conduct exit interviews
• Interaction with HR Service Center (MyHR) on employee leaves, FMLA requests, benefit assistance, and employee verification requests
• Answer general employee questions, research problems and/or refer issues to functional HR areas
• Conduct new hire orientation for Atlanta and coordinate on-boarding with other departments on such items as building and systems access.
• Run and distribute monthly reports & Ad/Hoc reports to divisional & HR management as needed. Administers position management.
• Serve as a trusted resource for staff and managers
• Perform other related duties as directed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 3 - 5 years Human Resources administrative or related experience required.
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in related field required
• Human Resources Certification or HR coursework preferred
Knowledge/Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong diplomacy and adaptability attributes to contend with exposure to upper management
• Must have the ability to plan for, prioritize and execute multiple recurring and ad hoc tasks
• Strong computer skills required, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Org Plus
• Experience with personnel and payroll data systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) preferred
• Must possess strong logic and reasoning skills
• Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail
