Position Description:
The Director of Business Development (DBD) for the Performing Arts segment is a crucial position in the fastest growing area of the company. The DBD is a player/coach position that is ultimately responsible for the P&L in their vertical segment, which includes performing arts venues, theater/dance/music groups, and other event organizers in the performing arts segment. This position reports to the VP of Business Development and manages a team of account executives to develop business in their segment. Responsibilities will include all parts of the sales process from lead generation through on-going account management.

Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new market segment(s) for the company within the performance arts market
Develop new accounts and manage on-going relationships with existing accounts
Promote yourself and TicketLeap inside your vertical segment through speaking engagements, article contributions, networking, partnerships, and other marketing initiatives
Forecast and report on sales activities on a periodic basis
Utilize Salesforce.com sales automation and CRM platform to maximize productivity
Provide feedback to product management team on features and enhancements to the platform
Ensure world-class level of customer service

Qualifications:
7+ years of business-to-business sales and marketing experience
3+ years of experience successfully managing a business or product line to P&L targets
Proven ability to build new market segments in a high growth sales environment
Successful track record in sales management with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team
A winning attitude and a fanatical client focus (and a good sense of humor always helps)
A desire to take ownership, to learn and to ask questions
Experience using sales CRM and automation platform, preferably Salesforce.com
A bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field
Experience in or selling to a relevant industry, a plus (e.g. Theater and Music Venues, Performing Arts groups, etc.)

Travel: Must be willing to travel whenever necessary, but expectations are up to 25% travel

Potential to earn over $100k per year within first 1-2 years with tremendous growth potential after that. All employees receive generous stock options and are eligible to participate in the company health program.
