Job Description - Business Manager - Los Angeles
The Thomas St John Group offers business management services to a client base consisting of individuals and businesses within the music, entertainment and sport industries. The company is based across three main offices; London, Los Angeles and Amsterdam with four core departments; Business Management, Accountancy, Tour Accounting and Tax.
The company is seeking a dynamic Business Manager with excellent client relationship management skills to provide strategic solutions for our high net worth clients. This is a client facing position and will require creative thinking while managing multiple clients simultaneously, and a passion for delivering excellent service in a fast paced environment. The Business Manager's primary responsibilities is to develop new business within our company, manage, influence and grow existing client portfolio's, coordinate client deliverables within our production teams and ensure billing targets are being met consistently and in a timely manner. The Business Manager must enjoy taking risks and having a tenacious approach when dealing with clients.
Responsibilities
• Managing and providing excellent quality of service to clients; responding to client needs in a timely manner, managing and evaluating existing accounts and making expert recommendations of products and services offered through Thomas St John;
• Ability to allocate client projects to our production team through CCH; manage work steps and process notes with our internal CCH system;
• Working with our production team to ensure that appropriate documentation is gathered in preparation for tax return completion and service deadlines;
• Complete appropriate billing for products and services offered;
• Ability to meet deadlines on all client deliverables;
• Leading subject matter expert in our products and services, offered through Thomas St John
• Participate in networking opportunities and develop relationships with agents, managers, production companies and other industry professionals;
• Ability bring in new business and meet sales revenue targets annually; set at the partner annually
Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of experience working in a professional services industry, within a sales or client services capacity
• University Degree
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent degree
• Advanced degree preferred, JD and/or Masters in Accounting or Taxation
• Ability to translate customer needs and financial goals into department-level deliverables
• Ability to interact with leadership from other departments (Partners, Directors)
• Acts as the 'customer expert' for the organization, drawing on a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
• Proven experience growing company product and service revenues year over year
