The Third Floor, Inc. is seeking an Artist Manager.
Responsibilities:
•Oversees talent acquisition (Creative, Technical, Professional and Production Mgt.) to attract and retain world-class talent for various studio/production locations.
- Also manages additional recruiting personnel
•Responsible for Employee Career Development
- Coaching and counseling of employees
- Talent development
- Oversee and maintain Supervisor and Lead bios and follow up with casting and editorial to ensure regular reel updates bi-annually.
•Creates and Maintains all artist training programs
- Continually assess artist training needs
- Recommendations for educational opportunities and additional training
- Organize internal and external courses, whilst managing a training budget
- Complete new starter inductions
- Oversee all cross-training initiatives
•Compiles performance feedback regularly and delivers reviews
- Updates and maintains Employee Skill-set and Review Database and acts as the hub of knowledge related to artist's skills & interests
- Maintains employee compensation history and review schedule
•Manages employee relations issues including:
- Conflict resolutions
- Investigations
- Performance management
- Resource allocation
- Facilitation of disciplinary meetings with HR
•Partners with Studio Finance, HR and VP of Production to recommend and help review artist compensation
•Oversees the casting department and advises the Casting APM to ensure that skill levels are equally distributed
•Plans and oversees execution of Artist related events including but not limited to:
- Third Thursday's with the Founders
- Fun Fridays
- Learn at Lunch
- Quarterly Supervisor Summit
•Professionally represent The Third Floor on studio tours, conferences, panels and other industry related events
•Oversees Internship Program for The Third Floor
Essential:
•Previous experience in a Human Resources role
•Prior Recruitment experience
•Evidence of having previously managed a team
•Highly organized with excellent time/project management skills
•Previous experience within a Production Environment
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team
•Good knowledge of Office packages (incl. Excel, Word, Project and Filemaker)
Desirable:
•Experience within a deadline driven creative environment
•Proven problem solving experience
