Position Summary:
Expand your mind and your career. . . The Great Courses is seeking creative, experienced Producers for our HD Production Studio to creatively bring to life university-level education in a variety of subjects including the Arts, Literature, Science, History and Mathematics. Contracts are anticipated to start on January 2 and last several weeks. Candidates must be able to work onsite for this project.
Major Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
•Creatively bring to life university-level education in a variety of subjects including the Arts, Literature, Science, History and Mathematics. You will be the creative caretaker of the content from concept though delivery.
• Overall responsibility for team's delivery of video courses on-time and on-budget throughout all aspects of pre- and post-production.
•Establish a collaborative/authoring relationship with the professor/talent with an emphasis on extracting and designing course content.
•Prepare pre-production for taping, including selection of props and studio material selection and advising/coaching talent on performance.
•Oversee studio process, including studio personnel.
•Enhance content by adding supporting visuals, video, graphics and demos.
•Work with production team members to make editorial decisions in post-production which enhance the understanding of the course material for customers.
•In partnership with on-line editors and graphic artists, design, edit, and proof graphic materials and on-screen text.
•Meet exacting content requirements and delivery deadlines
Ideal Experience
The ideal candidate for the Freelance Producer position at TTC will have:
•Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications (video production) and a minimum of 5 years producing experience in television production for broadcast, cable or other video outlets.
•Final Cut Pro editing experience is a PLUS.
•Working knowledge of Photoshop CS4.
•Must be creative and collaborative; able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively to production staff.
•Experienced in delivering projects within tight deadlines and budgetary restrictions.
•Experience in HD production a plus. |
