The Recording Academy is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join the Marketing Communications team. Whether it is Social TV or year round engagement strategies, The Recording Academy continues to be at the forefront of innovation with social media. This person needs to be savvy across all social media platforms and lend their dynamic voice to the GRAMMYs accounts. He/she will also need to have a deep understanding of the current musical landscape and musical history.
Responsibilities Include:
• Write, publish and maintain current content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, Pinterest, and other social media properties with the aim of engaging and fostering the music community.
• Create and manage social media content calendar. Work with various departments to organize and collect content.
• Deliver weekly social media analytics reports.
• Interpret data and community conversations into actionable insights.
• Monitor social properties for response opportunities.
• Work with sales team to implement and activate brand sponsorships through social media.
• Assist Social Media manager with the creation and management of social media programs.
• Identify new digital/social trends and technologies.
Qualifications include:
• 2-5 years professional work experience (social media and music background a must).
• Must have active accounts across key social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.
• Must have exceptional writing and grammatical skills, especially in online community environment.
• Must having a working knowledge of social media analytics and understand the various metrics.
• Must be graphic-capable - should have knowledge of CS/Photoshop editing and experience making GIFs.
• Must have basic HTML skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly.
• Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills.
• Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas.
• Online search expert able to track and monitor postings relevant to the brand.
• Interest in music, popular culture, technology and entertainment industries a must.
• Diligent work ethic and insatiable desire for innovation.
