Summary:
The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing Communications as well as to the department, including liaising with corporate partners, outside vendors, and interacting with various internal departments on behalf of the VP and department. The Executive Assistant will also assist with aspects of marketing, sponsorship activation, client services, social media, digital marketing, merchandising and licensing, as well as provide onsite assistance at high profile events.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties including answering phones, scheduling meetings, organizing files, coordinating travel, handling expense reports, ordering office supplies, etc.
• Assist with developing sponsorship proposals for potential partners.
• Traffic print/online collateral and production.
• Assist with miscellaneous marketing projects.
• Support marketing with sponsorship activation.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar preferred.
• 3 - 5 years of related administrative experience supporting high level executives preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to type at least 50 wpm.
• Knowledge of current social networking sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent customer service and the ability to maintain a professional and diplomatic demeanor at all times.
• Ability to multi-task while working under the pressure of tight deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Available to work overtime as needed.
• This position involves minimal physical exertion, except when assisting in the production of special events or promotions. Ability to walk, lift and spend lots of time outside in all weather conditions may be required on specific occasions.
