The Ant Farm, a leading Los Angeles creative entertainment advertising company is seeking a Coordinator for our Design department, focusing primarily on Theatrical projects. From concept to completion, the company creates award-winning audio-visual advertising for the theatrical, broadcast and video game markets. Our ever-evolving Motion Graphics Department has contributed to numerous theatrical, broadcast and video game campaigns.
Job responsibilities include assisting in the design and production of motion graphics and print for a wide variety of theatrical jobs. You must have a good attitude, a strong work ethic, good organizational skills, work well in a hands-on environment; manage effectively both an internal production design team and external production in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
YOU WILL:
• Assist and support the Theatrical Producer in the production of design and animation for theatrical trailers, TV trailers, Home Video, main title sequences and print. This work includes communicating creative and administrative instructions and technical guidelines to our team of 2d and 3d designer/animators. This includes setting the example of excellent work habits and inspiring creativity.
• Manage after-hours production, both in-house and out of house finishes.
• Maintain workflow efficiency. Identify areas in need of improvement and propose solutions.
• Schedule freelance animators / designers.
• Perform and organize stock footage searches when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Additional experience in motion graphics (administration or design) a plus.
• Additional experience in print (project management) a plus
• College degree required in related field.
• An intermediate knowledge of broadcast and film standards and equipment including post-production. Must be comfortable learning new technology and equipment. Must have an intermediate knowledge of broadcast standard frame rates, aspect ratios, etc.
• An intermediate knowledge of HD production and post.
• Final-Cut Pro or Avid knowledge and definite plus.
• Macintosh environment savvy. Must be able to trouble-shoot basic computer issues and have a facility learning new software.
• Some experience or knowledge of the following software:
• Photoshop
• After-Effects
• Fetch
• Entourage
• MS Office
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Clear communicator - both oral and written. Gives directions well.
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
