Staff Coordinator (Physical Production Features)
The Walt Disney Studios encompasses the creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition and domestic and international distribution of live-action and animated motion pictures, home entertainment releases, live stage plays, and music and soundtrack recordings.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Coordinator (Physical Production – Features)in Burbank, CA.
Each production executive is assigned live action feature films and manages the projects from the pre-production period thru the wrap of principal photography; which entails daily interaction with the film makers and oversight of the production during the filming process. Physical production interfaces with many other Studio departments, including but not limited to, Post, VFX, Creative, Labor Relations, and Legal.
Responsibilities
• Work directly with and assist the Production Executive to coordinate all features directly associated with the Production Executive's office from pre-production through the wrap of physical production.
• Maintain Studio policies and procedure manuals and other related materials for the Studio which are distributed to the films supervised by the executive.
• Management of incoming materials which include maintaining lists & contracts, databases, researching information, compiling, archiving and securing files.
• Work directly with production companies to secure day-to-day updates during set-up and production.
• Answer and screen phones for production executive.
• Schedule appointments and other film related activities.
• Arrange travel as needed.
• Occasional script analysis required (breakdown sets, cast & location).
• Special projects as required by the production team as needed.
• Miscellaneous departmental duties as needed.
Basic Qualifications
• Solid familiarity with Film Production.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint). SAP knowledge a plus.
• Computer skills, Mac & PC knowledgeable, familiarity with Production scheduling and Budgeting programs a plus
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, make preliminary decisions and change course of action quickly.
• Detail oriented with the ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism and service orientation.
• Strong organizational and follow-thru skills, keeping manager informed on completed tasks and status of current tasks at hand.
• Strong assistant skills a must (phones, calendar, contacts). Ability to resolve routine issues and raise complex issues to management.
• Ability to work with highly confidential material.
• Effective communicator, both verbally and written.
• Ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision
• APOC or POC (Production Office Coordinator) experience for TV or Film
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of Physical Production experience at the Coordinator level on set (TV or Film)
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Film Production or equivalent.
