At The Walt Disney Studios, you'll help bring compelling stories to life through film, music and live entertainment.
At Walt Disney Animation Studios, the Studio Finance team supports the technology, marketing, and ancillary production teams. The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for performing business analysis and forecasting the financial performance of the business areas mentioned above. This position will report to the Manager of Studio Finance.
Responsibilities
• Creates and maintains financial models and P&Ls to forecast revenues, expenses, and capitalized project costs
• Prepares capital asset reports supporting financial plans and related analyses
• Develops reporting tools and dashboards to analyze spending, identify areas for cost efficiencies, proactively lead process changes, and track improvements
• Collaborates with all levels of leadership (within functional departments and production teams) to assist in strategic planning with a focus on financial responsibility
• Supports operational leaders with scenario modeling, ad-hoc reporting, and analyses as required
• Creates and delivers presentations to communicate findings from analyses
• Helps drive efficiencies and data integrity through the design and implementation of new workflows, processes, and procedures

• Streamline processes by developing templates and automated workflows
• Critically evaluate and communicate financial information to executive management
• Translate and communicate accounting and financial information to department managers in digestible formats and language
• Communicate effectively within a business and creative environment
• Must be able to present data in a concise manner for use by top management in decision-making
• Proven advanced financial modeling techniques and forecasting experience
• Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment, with a track record of critically evaluating strategic concepts and financial assumptions
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a flexible team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands on resources
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
• Experience preparing and interpreting financial and accounting analyses such as cash flow forecasts, cost and budget trends and pro forma analyses
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent relationship building skills and business acumen
Preferred Qualifications
• Aptitude to work with different systems; SAP, Tableau and TM1/COGNOS experience preferable
Required Education
• An undergraduate degree (in business or a related field) with 3-5 years of related work experience.
Preferred Education
• Advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., MBA, CPA) strongly preferred.
