Full Time Job
The Walt Disney Animation Studios School Relations, Representative (Rep) will develop short and long term strategies on our global school relations with an emphasis on art, technology and production. The Rep will bring the craft of Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) to the new generation to inform, inspire and drive talent to disneyanimation.com through school visits, web seminars and creative campaigns such as ''Inspire Day.'' Our Rep will keep WDAS connected to the educational market, and create access to this unique talent community. The Rep will interface with Production, Artist and Crew Managers, Studio Department Leaders, Technology, HR & Recruitment, Finance, Business and Legal Affairs, all levels of Executives and the Talent Development department.
Responsibilities
• Develop annual school strategies as it relates to art, engineering, computer science, production schools around the globe
• Develop Social branding and marketing strategies through innovative on/off campus events to attract and inform the all talent of the possibilities
• Create new processes and provide regular reporting on market trends and the competitive landscape
• Explore new and innovative ways of reaching the best talent on campus while informing and grooming all
• Develop processes and engagement to enhance our university relations organizational effectiveness
• Partner, inspire and inform our recruitment, hiring manager and HR teams on campus trends and insights
• Develop and manage our studio community focused efforts as it relates to k-12, school administrations
• Represent our educational position at key outreach initiatives including Siggraph, CTN Expo, others tbd
• Administration and execution or our experimental outreach segment including communication, approval and development of presence
• Manage all aspects of Studio Tours
• Other duties as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Kind, curious and inspired leader looking to expand your experience with college, school and university relations
• Attentive to details and the follow through with strong execution skills
• Able to develop social, print, marketing, video production and/or outward brand experience campaigns or posts
• Direct experience working in the technology software or entertainment industry is desirable
• 1-3 Years in a School relations, Talent Development, Outreach, Recruitment capacity
• 1-3 years developing social and or marketing campaigns
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
• Ability to work with all types of highly creative, artistic and technical disciplines with proven ability to deal with a variety of individuals, levels and situations in a professional environment
• Graceful, collaborative, open and empathetic communication style
• Open and flexible and likes to work in unchartered waters
• Able to juggle multiple projects from inception through end
• Financially conscious and respectful in time, resources and actions
• Handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner. Escalate issues to appropriate individual. Prepare confidential correspondence.
• Excellent organization skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Experience coordinating events and complex projects
• Must be proficient with Word, Excel, Chrome, Keynote/PowerPoint, social apps
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to travel
• The ideal candidate for this position is mature, intelligent, responsible, creative, innovative, high energy self starter with Animation, film or other production recruitment exposure
Preferred Education
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred
