The Walt Disney Studios encompasses the creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition and domestic and international distribution of live-action and animated motion pictures, home entertainment releases, live stage plays, and music and soundtrack recordings.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Digital Customer Marketing in Burbank, CA.
Responsibilities
The Director of Digital Customer Marketing will lead a client-focused retail marketing team focused on achieving revenue and growth targets. define and execute account marketing plans and strategies to drive Studio growth. This executive will lead a dynamic team of account leaders and marketing partners towards innovative commercial strategies, on-platform marketing plans and off-platform integrations. This position will maintain a high level engagement and collaboration throughout all areas of Disney in order to realize and achieve overall business objectives.
The desirable candidate has a keen knowledge and sense of consumer trends and consumption, ability to build strong partner and account relationships, and the ability to motivate and lead a highly energized and results oriented team.
Responsibilities
include:
• Develop and manage overall account plans including franchise, new release and catalog promotional initiatives to achieve revenue and growth objectives
• Oversee strong digital consumer business, creating, executing and evaluating retail promotional, merchandising, positioning and placement opportunities
• Oversee strong digital business partner relationships (Apple, FandangoNOW, VUDU, GooglePlay) with a focus on account and digital consumption growth
• Forecast, monitor and evaluate fiscal performance of departmental efforts
• Guide digital commerce and marketing strategies
• Explore new and emerging technologies, platforms and consumer trends (ex. Virtual Reality, 4K/Ultra High Definition, Hulu Life)
• Lead cross-functional digital teams to design, plan and execute Franchise plans across theatrical, in-home and other key marketing pulse points (ex. Star Wars 40th Celebration)
• Make extensive use of data to increase revenue and make better business decisions
• Manage strong relationships with finance, marketing, catalog, operations, promotions and sales partners to extend effectiveness of the Digital Customer Marketing team
• Seek out partnerships with other segments of The Walt Disney Company to generate opportunities and maximize revenue
• Lead a high-impact and results driven team, building collaboration, thought leadership and efficiency
Basic Qualifications
• 5-7 years experience in Marketing or Commercial Planning related area, preferably in the Entertainment, Film, or Television Industries
• Ability to think strategically and drive projects to completion despite competing priorities
• Strong project management skills & ability to multi-task
• Track record of leading highly collaborative teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong relationship development and influence skills
• Executive focused communication skills including concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to think quickly on your feet.
• Ability to enlist cooperation among multiple internal, client and vendor relationships on the leading edge of new technologies, platforms and digital services

• Ability to apply analytical thinking to create effective strategic programs
• Keen insight into consumer behaviors on the internet
• Strong account management expertise
• Experience with franchise planning and high-pressure Stakeholder management
Preferred Qualifications
Entertainment industry experience preferred
Required Education
• Four-year College Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Related Field
