Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution is a sales-based organization overseeing distribution for all Walt Disney Company filmed content beyond the theatrical window, including Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm.
The Assistant Manager, Product Management & Distribution will work closely with the Manager and Director to take a holistic lifecycle planning approach to physical and digital products (e.g. Blu-ray / iTunes / On-Demand). The assistant manager will help identify and understand the consumer target, proactively develop global product strategies, plan and execute retail programs, and cultivate promotions with third party partners that drive revenue.
Working in a highly matrixed organization, the assistant product manager will communicate product strategy with internal stakeholders (international, marketing, sales) to ensure that global product roll-out is executed. Using intuition and knowledge to complement data, the assistant manager will complete pre and post analysis on programs and product roll-outs.
Responsibilities
• Champion product initiatives with internal stakeholders - liaise and develop close working relationships with marketing, promotions, and international teams
• Develop and maintain franchise snapshot calendars that track key initiatives
• Assist in creation of product brief and business plan including financial and consumer research analysis
• With the Director and Product manager, develop and execute retail plans including management of account-exclusive products
• Create PowerPoint/Keynote decks and other key documents for internal stakeholders, filmmakers, trade and Sales
• Monitor and facilitate approval process for release dates and product components in DRMA system
• Monitor industry research and trends, and apply creative problem-solving to make go-forward business recommendations
• Maintain team scorecards and tracking documents

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in entertainment industry
• International experience preferred
Required Education
• Required Education BA/BS from a 4-year university
