The Segment Design team is responsible for the design and development of learning solutions for segment-specific training needs.
Responsibilities
The Segment Design Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end development of learning solutions. As such, this position must have a diverse set of skills and will play many roles, which vary from project to project. Within a project, the Segment Design Project Manager may perform one or more project roles, including Project Manager, Instructional Designer, and/or Instructional Writer. Learning experiences developed by this individual must leverage a variety of innovative approaches to deliver learning, including: instructor led, blended, experiential, media based, performance support, and other emerging technologies.
Major Responsibilities:
• Assess learning needs accurately and propose creative and effective learning solutions
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop curriculum
• Design experiences that are learner-centric, creatively keeping learners engaged and promoting their curiosity
• Author scripts and other course materials, applying various writing styles and demonstrating an expertise in grammar, punctuation, spelling, company nomenclature, and copyright compliance
• Manage learning projects from needs analysis to deployment considering the complexities of diverse audiences
• Initiate projects, design project plans, execute all milestones and tasks, monitor risk throughout the lifecycle of the project, and successfully reach stated learning goals.
Basic Qualifications
This position requires a high degree of analytical ability to identify gaps in performance and creativity to propose and develop the appropriate solutions. This role interacts directly with teams of individuals within the learning organization and with client representatives; therefore, individuals are required to work with a high degree of collaboration and a must have a strong client service orientation. Depth in understanding of adult learning theory principles is critical for the success of this role.
Required Education
• College Degree or equivalent work experience
