Studio Distribution is responsible for the sales and marketing of feature films and television series produced by The Walt Disney Company. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing business analysis and forecasting the financial performance of the division. This position will report to the Manager of Finance.
We're seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in Burbank!
Responsibilities
• Creates and maintains financial models and P&Ls to forecast revenue, expenses, and profits for multiple distribution channels
• Contributes to the preparation and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan, Five Year Plan, and quarterly forecasts including the accompanying senior management presentations
• Builds regression tools to forecast title performance and guide financial planning
• Conducts research and analysis to report on trends in the entertainment industry
• Creates industry projections for the Five Year Plan and Annual Operating Plan, including modeling distribution channels and technologies
• Prepares ad-hoc reports, special projects, and presentations for various internal stakeholders
• Manages third party data and data vendors
• Ensures the Finance Department is aligned with the objectives set forth by senior management and is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of finance experience required
• Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities
• Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and project management skills
• Passion for and basic understanding of the TV/Film business
• Attention to detail, desire for accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency
• Business intelligence, data analysis, or market analysis exposure
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions

• BA in Finance or Accounting required
