Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Coordinator, Business Affairs & Finance is to assist with the invoicing and collection of payments for licensing, royalties and concerts. This position will work under the supervision of the Director, Business Affairs for Concerts and the Manager, Income Tracking for Disney Music Group (DMG).
• Input payment information into invoice templates that trigger SAP invoices for all Disney Concerts managed, licensed, passive and concert rental revenue. Including client set up, invoice receipt from SAP and delivery of same to clients.
• Identify financial information from material terms summaries and/or license agreements and document invoice and other financial data in system accurately for invoicing and reporting.
• Prepare various income collection reports for management as well as research unauthorized uses. Run/submit weekly or periodic reports to Collections, and Business Affairs that track client delinquent payments and specific dates (which will trigger future invoicing and payments).
• Prepare status reports and generate/create new scripted reports as needed by Disney Concerts business affairs and finance/accounting teams to assist in agent commissions accounting and other concerts-related strategic business objectives.
• Document receipt of payments to DMG from SAP reports. Finalize payment receipt in system by adding final codes and revenue amounts. Cross check against statements to ensure all music publishing royalties are paid pursuant to contractual obligations.
• Contact licensees and take necessary steps to collect unreported royalties.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with other DMG and studio counterparts
• Assist Head Of Income Tracking in day to day operations
Basic Qualifications
• Working knowledge of File Maker Pro (FMP) & Excel
• Good analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Creative thinker, problem solver and diplomatic
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to easily develop relationships with others
• An appreciation for music.
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years Copyright and/or Royalties experience (or internship) is preferred
• Comfort in working with creating File Maker Pro scripts or basic database programming skills preferred
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
