Contract Administrator, FREEFORM Contract Administration
We're seeking a Contract Administrator to join our Disney ABC Television Group in Burbank!
We are looking for a smart professional who will bring a friendly, positive attitude and strong work ethic to this position. The person we seek is a team player interested in joining a growing division where his/her contribution will be valued.
This person will be an integral member of the Disney ABC Networks Group Contract Administration team for Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior and Freeform. He/she will be responsible for providing day-to-day contract administration support to the Business Affairs and Legal Affairs Programming Hubs and their clients by timely and efficiently collecting, analyzing and tracking critical data from talent and license agreements, generating reports, maintaining databases, and performing research.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Enter and track agreements in a database on a daily basis with respect to scripted series/movies and unscripted programming, as well as licensed/co-produced programming
• Maintain reports on a daily/weekly basis: Programming/Development Report and Business Affairs/Legal Affairs Assignment Tracking Report
• Maintain E-Mail distribution lists; tracking of Passed projects; coordinate photo approval requests; review on-screen credits; and provide backup for Title Clearance requests and Minors' paperwork, as required
• Data entry of deal terms for Performer agreements for series/movies
• Assist with ad hoc research requests
• Contribute toward ''best practices'' by following and improving departmental processes and procedures and by contributing great ideas and creative problem solving
QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience
Required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a law firm, network or studio
Preferred
• Experience with agreements such as above-the-line talent contracts (writers, directors, producers, performers) and license agreements, and database entry/reporting
• Paralegal and/or contract administration background
• Familiarity with the television production process and terminology
Skills & Abilities
• Ability to understand Business and Legal Affairs contracts and contractual obligations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as sound judgment
• Strong ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment and have a commitment to learning and excellence
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with keen attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong database skills
