The Third Floor, Inc. is seeking a Previs Coordinator.
The Previs Coordinator is central to previs project management. Coordinators liaise with all aspects of production as well as help strategize and implement tasks and targets crucial to the delivery of the project on time and on budget.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the main client contact on projects for all daily correspondences, including working alongside the client VFX, Art Department and Editorial teams
• Manage day to day running of assigned projects (dailies, Cinesync, Skype, reviews, meetings, notes, deliveries and Shotgun maintenance)
• Work with the Supervisor and the project Associated Production Manager to schedule the work and plan deliverables
• Crew actuals and bid man day management within schedule document and approval of timecards before actual review by Production Manager with Accounting
• Manage team assigned to the show(s)
• Regularly communicate project status to APM, resolve problems as required and elevate any issues that may have budget impact to the APM
• Compile the project(s) weekly report with input from both Supervisor and APM
• Keep both internal and client contacts list up to date for all associated projects
• Encourage and maintain a positive, upbeat and professional production office, be pro-active and solution-oriented for all members of the team, including welcoming new artists
• This role may require working from various Los Angeles locations for periods of time
Essential:
• Previous experience at Production Coordinator or Production Assistant level
• Highly organized, excellent project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent client communication skills
• Proven ability to prioritize conflicting tasks
• Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work within a close knit team
• In depth understanding of the production workflow
• In depth understanding of common file formats and resolutions
• Existing knowledge of production databases, including Shotgun
• Strong knowledge of MS Office packages (incl Excel, Word and Project)
Desirable
• FileMaker Pro and Shotgun
