Search for Junior Account Executive - Fashion PR jobs in New York-NY
Boutique Fashion PR and Event Production Agency seeks rock star junior level publicist who is ultra organized and can thrive in a fast paced, independent environment with a tight-knit team that loves to have fun while working extremely hard.
The Riviere Agency has an immediate opening for a junior level account executive with tons of opportunity for hands-on experience with fashion PR and NYFW. Responsibilities include writing and developing pitches and pitching media outlets, scheduling desksides, sending out samples and sample tracking, managing all samples both in the showroom and sent via client showrooms, researching to find media contacts and editorial calendars, assisting with monthly reports, creating press clippings, celebrity outreach, etc.. During NYFW and Miami Swim Week duties will ALSO include: managing lists and invites via Fashion GPS, securing sponsors for designers (gift bags, hair and make up, etc), researching to find celebs and bloggers attending fashion week and inviting them to shows, coordinating media requests, interview requests and celeb requests, managing client guest lists, researching and assisting with seating charts and managing on-site check in at fashion shows, writing post-show press releases and servicing to media. During fashion weeks hours are extremely long and it is very demanding, so if you are not prepared to put in a few 70 hour work weeks three times per year, please do not apply. You will also be required to work Labor Day weekend to prep for NYFW in September. We provide another holiday and days off to make up for that time, but it is important for applicants to understand what fashion PR and working on NYFW really requires, so if this scares you, then no need to apply.
You MUST HAVE:
1-2 years of proven PR experience and placement experience with online, print or broadcast media.
Great writing skills that go beyond proper grammar (we want a wordsmith that can use witty language, slang and pop culture references to create engaging pitches)
Great personality and attitude - no fear, amazing at networking, desk sides and out of the box pitching ideas
Manage or work on several accounts at one time
Self-starter, great writer and professional in both written and verbal communication
