This is an unpaid internship. Academic credit can be provided.
Our established talent agency is looking for a passionate and hard-working intern. Ideally this candidate would work a 3 days each week from 10am-6pm beginning in March 2016 and continue through May 25th, 2016. Duties include handling headshots and resumes, preparing daily submissions, answering phones, calling out appointments, and general office maintenance. The ideal candidate should be responsible and detail-oriented. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience from the agency side of the industry. This position will primarily be as a Talent Scout and will attend Theatre and Musical Theatre Senior Showcases and report on them.
Qualified candidates will be:
- Punctual
- Pleasant
- Able to multi-task and follow instructions
• Hard working candidates
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have strong phone presence
• Multi-tasker
• Interest in learning about the entertainment business
• Being able to commit for at least a 3 month period.
• Positive and pleasant personalities
• Good Attention to Detail Is Mandatory!
Interns are expected to be charismatic while answering the phones as well as speaking in person making the clients feels welcomed.
Interns must be able to multi task and finish assignments within the time frame.
Sending clients their auditions notice and confirming them, also book clients in and out due to personal reasons or shooting in all forums and Google Calendar.
Creating client profiles along with online portfolios and making sure their information is up to date.
Agent's duties, you will be trained in handling the following:
Sitting in during client interviews taking notes on the main details discussed with clients. Once you have enough sitting experience you will be conducting the meetings as the agent shadows you. Some of the key points are as follows:
• Assuring clients confirm their auditions
• Attending their auditions on time
• Updating their resumes & photos
• Book out whenever they are not available
• Managers
Candidates should display strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an eagerness to learn. Candidates must also possess excellent computer skills and good organizational skills. This internship is a great opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in the entertainment business
This Internship offers school credit with a MINIMUM commitment of 3 months and guidance/referrals for your professional career. You may apply if no school credit is needed.
Required:
Office Experience - Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Gmail; copies and faxing; filing; good verbal and written communication skills
Customer Service - Greeting guests; answering multi-line phones; taking detailed messages
Work Ethic - Punctual; professional; great at prioritizing tasks; able to follow verbal and written directions; good follow through on completion of projects; ability to work efficiently and effectively
The dress code is business casual
Must be at least 18 years old
