Systems Project Manager - Permanent Installations
The Lighting Design Group, an internationally recognized broadcast and entertainment lighting design firm in New York City, is looking for an experienced full-time systems project manager for permanent installations. The position is responsible for managing tracking, commissioning, facilitating and close out of projects involving the permanent installation of lighting control systems for broadcast as well as hybrid projects involving the integration of architectural and entertainment control.
The project manager will be responsible for all non-design aspects of production from inception through close-out, including: managing proposals, budgeting and approvals from clients, equipment, labor, installation and oversight of all aspects of the projects. The position also coordinates onsite support related to lighting equipment and control technology for lighting installations as well as ongoing broadcast production facilities operated by LDG.
The position requires an experienced person who is highly organized, detail oriented, adaptable to rapidly changing circumstances, a solid team player who has excellent oral and written communication skills. Expert knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of IP Networking protocols as well as ETC/Paradigm control and other networked lighting control systems is a plus, as is knowledge of AutoCAD and Vectorworks software.
Experience in entertainment lighting for theatre and/or television is required; field experience is preferred, and knowledge of broadcast television production is a plus. The position requires the ability to work the hours required to get the job done. The systems project manager position reports to the Executive Vice President for Operations and Systems.
