Purpose
Act as an in-house producer/shooter/editor servicing IFAW's global media needs. Meet or exceed worldwide broadcast and production standards and implement and maintain these standards in all IFAW productions - both internal and external - and advance IFAW's media presence through marketing and distribution of IFAW products especially in film, television, online and new and advancing technologies. This position will achieve these goals by maximizing IFAW's internal resources and building capacity to meet the growing demands of the organization.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• Produce or have a hand in producing IFAW video productions from start to finish, including producing in-house and steering external production teams engaging in reciprocal partnerships with world-class production resources.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet IFAW's wide range of fundraising, communications and programmatic needs through the use of media and deliver products that stand out in the marketplace.
• Develop high quality, targeted media products for a mass market such as documentaries, TV shows and web series that further IFAW's mission and exposure to key audiences.
• Significantly broaden IFAW's media audience through distribution of IFAW products in film, television, online and new and advancing technologies.
• Ensure that IFAW delivers a consistent stream of quality short form video stories for online consumption liaising with communications colleagues and Digital Department working in tight timeframes
Job Requirements
• Film/Video degree or equivalent work experience required.
• A minimum of ten years of experience in the media industry, preferably in feature documentary or broadcast productions
• Proficient across all platforms and all stages of the production process including story development, field production with the ability to act as a one-person crew, picture and sound editing, color correction, graphic design and delivery.
• Experience marketing and distributing media productions for public consumption.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with people from all levels and cultures.
