Full Time Job
The Huffington Post seeks a Live Producer with a passion for creating engaging social video and visual content. The ideal candidate will work closely with the HuffPost Video team in New York to produce live interactive interviews with high-profile guests, coordinate dynamic livestreams in the field, and spearhead new live weekly series.
Responsibilities:
Pitch, book and produce at least 5 livestreams per week.
Incorporate new technologies -- including software that adds on-screen comments, polls and lower-thirds -- in a fast developing field.
Handle logistics for each stream, including who hosts, shoots, monitors live comments, and produces in the field.
Develop weekly livestream series, including special election-related streams.
Conceptualize new and creative ways of telling stories on social media.
Collaborate with HuffPost's Politics team to develop viable digital ideas.
Qualifications
Qualification/Requirements:
1-3 years of broadcast/media production experience.
Interest in political and cultural news.
Solid editorial judgment, social media savvy and team-oriented work ethic.
Highly organized and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
Experience with basic audio equipment including wireless lavaliers, stick mics and shotgun microphones.
Knowledge of video software, such as Skype and Google Hangout.
