The Huffington Post is looking for a brilliant, news-obsessed editor to lead our front page team. This person will help establish the editorial vision for HuffPost's widely read front page, select and frame our top story, and manage and mentor the team of front page editors. This is not a typical front page operation: the front page editors you oversee are expected to set the news agenda, become involved in story assignment, send mobile and email alerts, and post on social media.

• Has at least five years experience in online journalism for national news outlets.
• Is passionate about news and current affairs, especially politics, and has a voracious appetite for news coverage from legacy outlets, new upstarts, and on social media.
• Knows when a story matters, when it doesn't – and why.
• Has impeccable news judgment and the confidence and experience to make coverage decisions in a fast-moving news environment.
• Has a witty, creative sensibility and a talent for making a compelling statement with headlines and images.
• Is always thinking about how to best tell a story, especially on social media and mobile devices.
• Is comfortable in a fast-paced, creatively demanding work environment that requires meticulous attention to detail.
