The Documentary Group seeks an experienced Executive Assistant. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the President and senior staff members at an independent production company. The EA will also provide general support for the various projects in production.
ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY GROUP:
An independent production company, with offices in New York and Los Angeles, DocGroup produces long form and short form films for the major commercial networks, public television and cable, as well as for the educational market, digital distribution and theatrical release.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide support to the President of the company including calendar management, scheduling and travel arrangements, correspondence, and meeting coordination
-Help manage President's schedule and daily priorities; advise senior staff in advance of potential issues and/or delays
-Oversee expense management for the President: keep track of daily expenditures, reconcile monthly billing statements, and process expense claims
-Help prepare reports, presentations and new project proposals
-Oversee the company's intern program, including recruitment and placement throughout the calendar year
-Manage and oversee regular updates to company website and social media, including news items, project and film updates, and staff updates
-Provide general support to partner production companies and filmmakers
Qualifications:
-1-2 years of professional office experience
-The ideal candidate has the ability to work independently, problem solve quickly, and is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and flexible
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a sense of humor
-Can manage daily business activities without prompting
-Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Office Suite
Additional:
-Keen interest and familiarity with documentary production
-Strong writing and research skills
-Proficiency in Adobe, Illustrator, Photoshop, and WordPress
-Experience structuring and implementing social media / marketing campaigns
Must be able to start mid-July.
