Purpose
BEN is seeking a Vice President, Client Development to drive new client acquisition for its global-leading and most dynamic product – the BEN Product Integration business. Based in Los Angeles, this role will be for a strategic sales leader and visionary who will drive both brand-direct and advertising media agencies (working on behalf of brands) to the BEN platform for Film, TV, OTT (streaming) and Influencer integrations – but with an emphasis on Brand-Direct opportunities. The successful candidate will attain and exceed revenue goals in this very high-growth business, with a specific emphasis on developing ''Platinum Client'' relationships with major global brands who embrace BEN's offering as a major component of their marketing mix. The Vice President will provide leadership over a West Coast-based sales team and drive focus and performance of its individual team members, reinforcing BEN's values of Accountability, Passion and Teamwork.
Responsibilities
BEN Revenue Responsibility
• Overall responsibility for meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets for New Client Development – focusing on developing relationships directly with major brands. Deliver on annual sales revenue target for New Client Development in 2017.
• Responsible for New Client target development, attribution of those targets to specific client-focused strategies, and allocation of sales targets to individual team members, including a personal sales target.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue reporting and forecasting to executive leadership, with an emphasis on realistic projections, over-performance, and managing appropriate expectations.
• Prioritization of sales resources and efforts against highest-potential Client Development efforts.
Client and Sales Strategy
• Provide thought leadership into identification and analysis of target Key ''Platinum'' accounts for aggressive prospecting and dramatic growth, based on solid, qualitative and effective Client Development strategies.
• Leverage all available BEN team capabilities and resources – from Product, Content, Client Services and Marketing -- in developing client pitches and proposals, working collaboratively with the Client Services and Platform organizations.
• Dynamically adapt sales pitches and proposals based on specifically identified client interests and preferences.
• Develop personal relationships with senior-level representatives of Key Client targets to gain market share across different customer verticals.
• Work together with Marketing team to provide input in the development of sales and marketing materials, including content, positioning, and pitch materials.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• 10-15 years of experience managing sales teams, developing sales strategy, prospecting and fostering accounts via consultative selling for an Entertainment-related venture.
• Senior-level contacts within the marketing organizations of major brands – ideally related to strategic, entertainment and influencer marketing initiatives – as well as with the agencies that service these brands.
• Demonstrated track record of maintaining team-oriented and close working relationship with other division and company leaders to ensure appropriate communications and a coordinated approach to maximizing successes with clients.
• Proven success to meet or exceed revenue targets over extended periods of time.
• Strong organizational development and talent management skills with the ability to make difficult decisions in a rapidly changing environment and competitive marketplace.
• A creative thinker, technically astute, and strong sales strategist, with prior success with development and execution of strategic business plans with the complex client organizations.
• Demonstrated capability being self-directed and motivated; innovative; customer/market-driven.
• BA / BS degree is required, MBA preferred.
