Position Summary
BEN is seeking an ambitious Manager, Accounting with a positive attitude and thirst for process improvement within a fast-paced organization.
The Manager, Accounting will be responsible for accounting and financial operations which include leading a team of 3 talented professionals who own AR, AP/Payroll, and general accounting.
• Manage the monthly closing process to produce monthly financial statements for the business
• Work with the AR Specialist to ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, and cash application
• Work with AP/Payroll Specialist to ensure all company obligations are paid accurately, efficiently, and timely
• Work with the team to manage cash, leveraging various bank tools
• Partner with the business leaders to ensure great internal customer service to support and grow the BEN business
• Work with the Technology Infrastructure team to leverage and streamline the use of SAP
• Develop, implement and maintain financial policies and internal controls
• Responsible for statutory audits of foreign subsidiaries Prepare some state and local tax returns and work with tax firms to complete US and international tax returns
• Initiate and drive process improvements for greater accuracy, financial control and cost efficiency/effectiveness
• Lead and develop a team providing career guidance, actionable feedback, and overall performance management
Requirements
• Minimum 6 years of experience, with hybrid of Big 4 public accounting and industry mix preferred
• CPA Preferred
• Knowledge and experience in application of revenue recognition standards
• Solid working knowledge of best practices for internal controls
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
• Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
