Greenlight is a leading global consultancy providing corporate, advertising and media clients with access to popular music, film, celebrities, and entertainment content. Our rights representation group manages some of the world's most iconic personalities, including Albert Einstein, Steve McQueen, Andy Warhol, and Marvin Gaye. The Greenlight team conducts clearances for a vast array of properties every year, resolving the legal and logistical hassles so clients don't have to.
Purpose:
This is an external, client-facing sales role with a deep focus on increasing revenue. Regular travel throughout United Kingdom and other European territories will be required. By developing relationships with high-level decision-makers, the BDM grows business throughout a variety of media-based accounts.
BDM will focus on key customer segment including targeted corporations, broadcast departments at Ad Agencies, and other targeted customers as deemed appropriate by Greenlight Management with a specialization in selling Rights. BDM will prospect, sell, and close designated accounts/targets to maximize revenues and increase commercial business opportunities. Using advanced consultative selling skills, the BDM measurably increases revenue year-over-year. This role hinges on the accurate evaluation of clients' needs to identify opportunities, close collaboration with teammates and managers to designate solutions and advanced presentation skills to effectively demonstrate Greenlights value to the customer.
Responsibilities:
Sales Execution
• Responsible for:
• meeting or exceeding assigned revenue targets in designated territory.
• acquiring and growing assigned accounts in partnership with the Greenlight team
• working with mid and high-level content buyers, procurement teams and executives as well as creative teams and brands itself
• Effectively builds a strategic plan to drive long-term goals while also employing a tactical approach to short term priorities.
• Leverages a proactive, hands-on and consultative selling approach to develop relationships with a variety of clients through in-person meetings (3 per week).
• Independently identifies, pursues and closes volume sales opportunities through contract negotiation.
• Establish multiple level contacts within accounts. Present to, consult with and cultivate relationships.
• Identify opportunities for Rights & Music clearances agreements for ''campaigns'' and products.
Teamwork
• Collaborates with the project management team and the other BDMs to create and implement visual solutions packages.
• Always maintains the highest standards of interpersonal communication internally and externally in developing business.
• Works closely with Sales Management on reporting all stages of business development from initial opportunity to closed deals and future growth.
Activity Reporting
• Maintains and delivers weekly status reports summarizing all sales developments.
• Records accurate, thorough and timely notes in client database (CRM).
• Assures sales partners are aware of all relevant account activity and planning.
Requirements:
• 7-10 years' experience in sales, including all phases of sales development (prospecting, proposal development,
negotiation, closing and relationship/account management).
• Knowledge and understanding of content rights and intellectual property licensing.
• Excellent presentation, collaboration and consultative selling skills.
• Experience tailoring sales presentations to address verticals and specific accounts' needs.
• Prior success in a results-driven sales environment, with demonstrated achievement of sales targets.
• Ability to develop strong internal relationships with colleagues globally.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented with strong time management skills required.
• The ability to inspire others to provide the highest levels of service and support to assigned clients.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a small and diverse team of people.
• Prepared to travel as needed throughout the UK (50%)
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows applications, Internet savvy a must.
