Position Summary:
The Group Sales Assistant reports to the Group Sales Manager and is responsible for assisting the Group Sales Manager in all aspects of group sales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research new potential Leads
• Assist with outbound 'cold' sales calls
• Create and Update Show Order Forms and Documents
• Assist with group receptions and private group events
• Ensure that group ticket payments are collected in a timely manner
• Process invoices
• Update group database in Tessitura
• Assist with mailings and follow up calls
• Ensure Group packets are updated and stocked
• Setting up Tours
• Attends internal as well as client meetings as necessary
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in the Ticketing/Group Sales Industry
• The ability to communicate in Spanish.
• Two years of related experience, one of which has included the organization, coordination and performance of duties at a responsible level.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Superb interpersonal communication skills
• Administrative ability
• Excellent organizational skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with an extended knowledge in MS Excel
• Experience in Ticketing software (Tessitura, Ticket Master, Archtics)
• Knowledge of project management software, database and list management tools.
• Ability to effectively multi-task
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of a theater environment and non-profit organizations is preferred.
Personal Characteristics:
The Group Sales Assistant should be:
• Dedicated to accomplishing the organization's goals
• Detail oriented
• Extremely organized
• Affable, easy to get to know
• Action-oriented; a doer
