THE MRKT is the newly rebranded multicultural marketing and communications division of Terry Hines & Associates (THA), a leader in the entertainment marketing arena for over 40 years. The one-stop shop offers a comprehensive approach to connecting with diverse multicultural demographics through its specialized groups, each representing the different letters of the brand, including Más (Hispanic-targeted publicity + promotions for entertainment clients), Rithem (multicultural marketing + communications for consumer brands), Kroma (multicultural social media marketing + creative), and Transform (African-American-targeted publicity + promotions for entertainment properties).
The Promotions Coordinator in our Hispanic group, Más, will devise and execute promotion, word-of-mouth and grassroots strategies that will resonate within the Hispanic community on behalf of select film and TV clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Developing national and regional Hispanic-targeted promotional strategies, inclusive of creative event activations, grassroots outreach, and word-of-mouth programs, and (upon executive team approval) coordinating/producing all pertinent logistics and administrative tasks as needed to execute projects effectively and successfully.
• Coordinating and providing staff support at promotional screenings, stunts, and events as needed.
• Developing client related communications and materials, including but not limited to recap reports, status reports, final reports and presentations.
• Entering promotions and grassroots status updates into client designated reporting applications and formats in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean and up-to-date word-of-mouth and grassroots database, while establishing, maintaining and expanding partnerships with event organizers, community organizations, tastemakers and word-of-mouth groups.
• Supervising external reps and vendors needed for client service and ensuring quality, cost-effective service, within established budget and timeframe.
• Participating in brainstorm sessions while contributing fresh, creative, and executable ideas.
• Representing Más and clients in a positive and highly energetic way, while displaying the best tact and consideration.
• Effectively managing workload to ensure client expectations, directives and deadlines are met.
• Remaining attuned to the Hispanic market landscape and proactively identifying, researching and bringing new promotional opportunities, events and initiatives that align with client projects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and 1-2 years professional experience in promotions and/or grassroots marketing; movie/entertainment experience a plus
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills?; Spanish fluency a plus
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to keep focused when performing a variety of projects simultaneously
• Creative and strategic thinking with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to independently lead projects
• Excellent leadership skills with impeccable time management and prioritization abilities
• Solid interpersonal skills
• Punctuality and reliability a must with ability to commit to non-traditional work hours, as some projects will require evenings and weekends activities both in the office & off-site
• Working knowledge of: Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (MacMail); and Presentation software (PowerPoint, Keynote)
