Position: Advertising Sales Assistant - New York
Tennis Channel New York, NY, United States - Advertising Sales Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, Sales Assistant, to support the Director of Ad Sales Operations and Planning Team.
Daily Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work closely with the Director of Advertising Sales Operations and Sales Planners to manage advertising orders and client relations.
Heavy data entry under tight deadlines, within the Paid Programming, Direct Response & National Advertiser Commercial Inventory systems.
Significant use of computer software, including Broadway and the MS Office applications.
Provide daily customer support and service both over the phone and by email, while adhering to the highest standards of professional etiquette.
Manage Tennischannel com banner ad campaigns.
Interaction with other internal departments, mainly including, finance, traffic and marketing.
Assist Sales Planners with liability tracking, weekly flighting, resolve discrepancies, preemptions and the creation of quarterly flow charts.
Schedule special segments, program supplier units and added-value elements.
Maintain account/client details and database.
Perform various clerical and administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years professional experience.
Experience within an Advertising Agency or Network as an intern is a plus.
Must be a detail-oriented quick learner with strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Effectively handle a large volume of work and be flexible and receptive to changing priorities.
Proficient in Excel, with strong mathematical skills.
Well versed with other MS Office applications.
Comfortable taking initiative, being self-sufficient and resourceful.
Bachelor's Degree in advertising, marketing or relevant field.
Passion for Tennis and sports overall, a plus.
