Freelance. 20 hours/week.
Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Real time actualization of budgets for all series, shorts, and specials created by Original Programming
Preparing Original Programming's annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Managing monthly/quarterly reconciliations and providing detailed roll-forwards to accounting comparing PY/Budget/Forecast to current cost projections
Working alongside OP Production Teams playing a key role in cost management; monitoring and controlling expenditure against budget while balancing creative aspirations with financial and resource constraints
Assisting VP, Original Programming with management of departmental overhead budget
Coordinating of Deal Memos and Contracts for non-staff production personnel, BTL crewers and vendors
Overseeing Original Programming invoice processing, monthly Pcard reconciliation, and internal expense reimbursement
Working with vendors to ensure all invoices are processed and paid within reasonable time at the conclusion of all shoots
Provide various ad-hoc analysis as necessary
Qualifications:
1 to 4 years production accounting or production coordinating/managing experience in television and/or film.
Experience with live events and/or professional sports a plus.
Ability to solve problems, deal with difficult personalities, act with discretion.
Intermediate Excel skills.
Experience with Great Plains Project Cost Software or similar major production accounting software.
Four year college degree or equivalent experience. Educational background with accounting, business or TV production a plus.
