Position: Freelance HR-Recruiter
Overview: Tennis Channel is seeking an HR professional to support the Human Resources department with their recruiting efforts. This person will share the recruiting responsibilities with the HR Manager and will be required to take ownership of their recruiting assignments. May perform other general HR duties as well.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing and Executing Recruiting Plans
• Work closely with SVP of HR, HR Manager and hiring managers to understand each department's needs and create or updated useful job descriptions and partner with them in the search process while staying within the established budget for each position
• Develop a pool of qualified candidates using our in-house recruiting program (SilkRoad) and lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
• Timely, efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
• Conduct follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
• Research and identify new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
• Utilize the Internet for recruitment: Post positions to appropriate Internet sources
• Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
•
Administrative Duties and Record Keeping
• Manage and coordinate the use of outside recourses with SVP of HR and HR Manager's guidance including negotiating bill rates and fees with recruiters and headhunters.
• Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
• Conduct prescreening and onsite interviews.
• Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data.
• Perform reference and background checks for potential employees.
• Finalize details of approved offer with SVP of HR and present verbally to selected candidates
• Assist in preparing and sending written offers approved by hiring Manager and SVP, HR
• Compose and send denial letters as needed.
• Perform other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years as an in-house or agency staffing professional
• Experience supporting multiple recruiting efforts at the same time and working directly with management during the hiring process for a studio, cable network, or in-house entertainment environment is required
• Must be highly organized and able to multi-task while staying abreast of changing priorities as you may be required to provide status on a particular recruiting effort at a moment's notice.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to effectively and positively interface with personnel at all levels both verbally and in writing. Must be self-motivated and able to self-manage changing priorities and deadlines and approach each task with a sense of urgency.
• Demonstrates a professional demeanor and strong customer service skills when speaking with employees and candidates
• Possess strong prioritization skills as well as attention to detail with the ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• HR Generalist experience also helpful
• College degree required
