Job Description for Accounts Receivable and Revenue Specialist
Position: Responsible for accounting, invoicing and collections for Advertising Sales, Affiliate (Subscriber) Revenue for linear channel, TC Plus Subscriber Revenue, and Rental Revenue.
Daily Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Monthly journal entries and billing for Advertising Sales using Broadway Ad Sales system and Great Plains accounts receivable module.
• Monthly journal entries for Affiliate Sales using Great Plains accounts receivable module.
• Accounting for TC Plus subscriber revenue including monthly revenue recognition.
• Monthly billing and accounting for Rental Revenue using Great Plains accounts receivable module.
• Responsible for accounts receivable collections including monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
• Develop and maintain relationships by communicating with customers via phone, email, or mail.
• Prepare account reconciliations including monthly accounts receivable aging.
• Prepare bank deposits.
• Process credit card payments.
• Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records.
• Assist with implementation of periodic accounting software upgrades.
• Special projects as needed.
• Assist with preparation of annual audit schedules.
• Position reports directly to Manager of Revenue and Accounts Receivable
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounts receivable and general accounting experience
• Familiarity with Great Plains (or similar system), Broadway Ad Sales (or similar system), and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Extremely detailed oriented. Requires organizational skills, corporate confidentiality, the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Individual needs to be a good communicator and build good working relationships.
• An ability to work and solve problems independently is needed.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
