Talos Films is seeking to appoint a Researcher/Producer to work in the New York office on a short term, fixed contract.
We are looking to recruit a Researcher/Producer to work on pop science/factual based development. This is an exciting role to join a growing and dynamic team where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to add value to the department and continue onto other projects.
Experience working on factual programs, securing access to key contributors, locations and archival material.
Role Responsibility
Researchers will help develop format, lock access to key contributors and undertake relevant background research.
The researcher's role is vital and goes well beyond simply researching a topic. You will need to contribute original ideas and treatments, suggest contributors for discussions, find angles to stories and build an extensive bank of knowledge and contacts.
You will be working to meet a deadline, undertaking independent research and utilizing both internal and external sources.
If you like investigating things and can get your creative ideas across to people, this could be the ideal job for you.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will hold the following skills:
Ability to think creatively and contribute ideas for stories
Significant television research experience, including securing access to contributors, locations and archive material
High journalistic standards
Excellent organizational skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to remain determined when trying to track down hard to find information
Can work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
