Senior Product Manager

TakePart, the digital division of Participant Media, is seeking a Senior Product Manager for developing, implementing, and maintaining new and existing software initiatives. Responsibilities:
• Research the pro-social consumer, nonprofits, brands, and publishers to determine their unmet digital needs
• Develop product solutions that balance market opportunities, company business objectives, and available resources
• Collaborate with Participant Media & TakePart stakeholders to translate business needs into product design
• Create requirements, wireframes, and lo-fidelity prototypes to inform product implementation efforts
• Research and recommend potential solutions by analyzing development approaches and market opportunities
• Participate in daily check-in meetings with the engineering team as products are being implemented to ensure on-time and in-scope delivery
• Contribute to the TakePart product roadmap
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and platforms that may help TakePart reach its performance and engagement goals

Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience in an Internet software development environment
• 3+ years as a Product Manager developing, implementing, and maintaining Internet software products, ideally consumer-facing products
• Exemplary communication and organizational skills
• Comfort with mobile, tablet and other emerging platforms
• Facility with wireframing and lo-fidelity prototyping
• Experience with scrum and other agile software development methodologies
• Data-driven approach to decision-making
• BA/BS or equivalent degree
• Bonus points:
o Understanding of the digital causes space
o Some degree of development experience to better communicate with technical personnel
o Basic SQL skills
o MBA or equivalent advanced degree
