TMB is an outstanding company that has been servicing the entertainment production and staging markets since 1983.
We are currently seeking a Product Support Specialist, with an emphasis on Technical Support and Repairs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, mid-sized company, in our technical support department. Previous recent experience as a lighting tech or roadie is desirable, but not required.
Candidate must be able to learn new skills quickly. The successful candidate will have experience in Networking, Hardware, and Software diagnostics and support.
This position interfaces with our technical client base to provide 24 Hour help-desk assistance, and will manage a high call-volume. Position also interacts with internal departments including Sales, Operations and Inventory.
Desirable Skills:
•Device and hardware testing and diagnostics skills
•Basic skills in soldering and ability to use a voltmeter
•Desktop and Remote Support
•Networking skills and understanding of DMX and ArtNet are preferable
•Communicate issues/bugs with vendors and propose solutions
•Knowledge of electronics and repair of Audio Visual equipment is desirable
•Tradeshow and booth building skills are desirable
The ideal candidate will possess:
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, 7, and 8 software and trouble shooting skills
•Computer hardware repair/replacement; Motherboards, GFX cards, Hard Drives, CPU, and RAM
•Flexibility to manage incoming Tech Support calls, as needed, around the clock
•Ability to log calls and update co-workers and resolve issues/bugs
•Excellent listening and comprehension skills
•Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and self-management skills
•Excellent written and spoken communication skills
•Ability to maintain good Customer relations
•Ability to manage a heavy workload and pitch in with other tasks as needed
•Ability to accurately process repair and technical support paper work
