Syn Music is an award winning international music licensing and production agency formed in 1991 by Nick Wood and Simon Le Bon (Duran Duran) with over 26 years of experience with offices in Los Angeles, Tokyo and Beijing.
Syn Songs is a bespoke music library with an eclectic collection of music and songs specifically designed for film, TV and advertising.
Syn USA is currently looking for an experienced music licensing manager to work full time in our Los Angeles office with the following role and responsibilities.
- Establish Syn Songs as a go-to music resource in North America, Europe and beyond
- Introduce Syn Songs to a network of film, TV and advertising music supervisors and producers
- Administer licensing and publishing deals to get Syn Songs' music placed
- Help grow Syn Songs' catalog through a network of talented composers, artists and producers
- Acquire new catalogs and help expand the existing catalog
- Manage the library team to ensure all metadata is accurate and thorough
- Interface with Syn's legal team to manage catalog publishing and artist rights
- Introduce trusted forms of promotion and marketing to help grow the business and deliver results
Candidates must have at least 5 years working experience in the music and entertainment business with knowledge and experience licensing music.
Candidates must be able to show examples of successful licensing deals for film, TV and advertising (and other relevant media such as gaming).
Candidates must be capable of hitting monthly sales targets through effective business development, leveraging existing relationships and building new relationships.
Candidates must be charming, passionate about music, great team players, trustworthy and loyal.
