The Job:
Huge opportunity for growth to get in on the ground floor of a small educational media start-up.
We are looking for Winter/Spring interns to groom as awesome editors and graphics people. We have an extra work station or two, so your job would involve learning as much as possible in video workflow, online/digital content production and distribution, editing (FCP 7/Adobe Captivate), Photoshop, Power Point, PDF software, Wordpress, screen capture software, and After Effects. Animators, artists and filmmakers encouraged to apply! Some experience in shooting / editing / etc. a plus. Your job as an intern is to learn and improve your skills, and if you ever feel that isn't happening then we'll talk and make it so.
The Company:
SupertutorTV com is an online resource for high school students designed by an elite test prep and college admissions expert. We specialize in online tutoring videos with tips, tricks, and lessons that cover topics about college admissions and standardized testing. SupertutorTV's founder and CEO, Brooke Hanson, is a perfect SAT and ACT scorer, Stanford graduate with honors, and has been a tutor for the past ten years.
Right now we're working on launching a YouTube educational channel focused on college prep related tips and also creating test prep related videos. Looking to be a disruptive force at the intersection of entertainment, education, and new media.
Principal is a former unscripted TV/music video director and producer and has previously developed and produced celebrity driven digital and television content distributed via Yahoo!, CBS SoCal, public television, and other news outlets.
Our office is in Westwood south of Wilshire (walking distance from UCLA).
There is no guarantee of employment later. However, we have hired former interns in the past to do both full time and contract work, and expect to grow as a company in the next year or two.
