Fast growing educational digital media company seeks post production video intern for summer 2015, 2-3 days/week. We are a video startup, launching content this month, making both fun and informative videos for a YouTube channel and instructional videos focused on college admissions and test prep. Principal is a former show runner for a digital series on the Yahoo! Screen platform, and has also produced TV (unscripted). Our office is in Westwood.
Must be tech savvy and able to compress footage, organize files, and have experience working with a non-linear editing system. Our office also does some motion graphics work for digital projects if intern has interest in that. (After Effects experience a plus. Must know some photoshop. Illustrator a plus!).
Tasks include assistant editing (FCP 7), digital file management, graphics work, Power Point, and After Effects (Adobe) and some general production and office help. Personable, quick learning, responsible are musts. Having own Mac laptop is a plus but not necessary. A small office, so a great place to learn digital content production hands on. We also do small in house shoots-- so if you know BlackMagic cameras or DSLR's, or basic cinema lighting, etc. please also note. This opportunity is what you make of it-- interns who have the capacity to learn more, will learn more. If your work is good, we'll incorporate it into our final products-- if not we will rework it before release.
Please list in your resume/cover letter all relevant SOFTWARE you know (i.e. FCP 7, FCP X, Premiere, Captivate, After Effects, Illustrator, AVID,
Motion, DVD studio pro, Compressor, Cinema 4D, etc.). If you have a link to your reel, send it.
Best suited for production or animation students. Must receive school credit.
