We are looking for a part-time (3-5 days/week) PAID fellow who has shooting, editing, and motion graphics skills for summer and/or fall.
Huge opportunity for growth to get in on the ground floor of a small educational media start-up.
Right now we're working on launching a YouTube educational channel focused on college prep related tips and also creating test prep related videos. Looking to be a disruptive force at the intersection of entertainment, education, and new media.
Principal is a former unscripted TV/music video director and has previously developed and produced celebrity driven digital and documentary content for Yahoo!, public television, and Stand Up to Cancer.
Our office is in Westwood south of Wilshire (walking distance from UCLA).
Responsibilities:
We're looking for someone in particular who can shoot (Canon) as well as help add ''sizzle'' from an editorial standpoint-- graphics, motion graphics, etc., someone to help compile textual and informational graphic elements for education videos, a social media helper.
Requirements:
-Incredible eye for design and style
-Skilled in Photoshop (MUST)
-Experience in After Effects (MUST)
-Fast learner
-Experience in Non Linear Editing and NLE workflows (FCP 7, Premiere preferred, FCPX or AVID may also be relevant)
-Tech savviness / Troubleshooting prowess
-Experience in Power Point
-Reel or portfolio of work available
-Degree in progress (or recent grad) from top film school or arts program preferred
-Excel / Word proficient
-Wordpress /HTML / CSS experience a plus
-Experience in Digital content production a plus
-High test scores or track record of high academic achievement a plus
Skills:
Required - Video Editing, Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Macintosh, Video Production, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop
Preferred - Adobe Illustrator, Keynote, Canon Cameras, Canon DSLR, Apple Compressor, WordPress, Adobe Captivate, Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Premiere
