Sunset Gower Studios is looking for a full time IT Technician. Sunset Gower Studios sits on approximately 15.6 acres in the heart of Hollywood with 12 sound stages, production offices, and support space. Also located on the Sunset Gower Studios' campus, is the world's most awarded studio complex, United Way Recording Studio.
The IT Technician will primarily be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of telephones, computer/server hardware and peripherals. Monitor and maintain network systems and configure all model wireless access points. Configure and troubleshoot network equipment as well as internet installation and make improvements as necessary.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Install and manage Microsoft client operating systems.
• Manage active directory user accounts.
• Folder/File management.
• Install and setup network printers & wireless devices.
• Maintain and update hosted exchange control panel.
• Install Outlook and configuring in an exchange environment.
• Manage and troubleshoot Local Area Network.
• Windows desktop support for Windows OS and the Office Suite.
• Set up and maintain mobile devices.
• Manage billing to clients including software for billing preparation.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
• Requires a wide range of constant physical and office activities, including by not limited to walking, standing, sitting for long periods of time, bending, lifting, etc.
• Requires walking and climbing stairs throughout property, including construction sites.
• Requires movement between departments to facilitate work.
• Requires lifting and handling computer equipment, supplies and materials.
• Requires close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
(License/Certifications are desired, but not required)
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent compination of training and experiance in related field required.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and possess excellent customer service skills to tenants and employees.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to discreetly and tactfully recognize and handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to multi-task and be proactive as well as a self-starter in a collaborative work environment.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills in order to solve client issues while keeping the objectives of the company in mind.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of computers and software including proficiency with Microsoft suites.
• Knowledge of Command Line for configuring network switches desired.
• Knowledge of Outlook PST Management desired.
• Knowledge of VOIP telephone system desired.
• CompTIA Core Hardware/OS Technologies a plus.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Telnet, Win2k8Server/WinXP/Vista/Windows 9 and MAC operating systems required.
• CAT-3/CAT-6 Cable termination/patching. Testing and toning with cable testing equipment. Teclo color codes and 110 and 66 punch blocks is plus.
• Frequent use of VLANs and knowledge of Bandwidth concepts is desired.
