Dates worked: 10/19/2016-2/1/2017
Considerations: Extended hours, weekend work, and some holidays will be required leading up to the Film Festival.
Position Summary: Designs and manages the production of large-scale environmental graphics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Designs a large variety of environmental graphics for several Film Festival venues (approximately 30).
• Routes graphics to Senior Graphic Designer for direction and approval.
• Tracks and manages the workflow of environmental graphic projects (conception, fabrication, and installation).
• Maintains continual communication regarding projects with internal stakeholders.
• Prioritizes projects to ensure delivery and installations are complete by deadline.
• Is main point of contact with vendor to troubleshoot file issues, timing, etc.
• Conducts inventory on all materials upon delivery.
• Works on additional design projects as needed.
• Organizes, files, and archives all artwork files.
• Writes a comprehensive wrap report as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 3 years of experience working as an environmental graphic designer.
• Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or industrial design preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Ability to quickly create a variety of initial design concepts and refine them into final designs.
• Proficient in Creative 6 Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of FileMaker Pro, Excel, Gmail, Google Drive and Calendar.
• Knowledgeable in printing production methods, fabrication, and installation.
• Able to juggle multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
• Self motivated and able to take initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
• A professional attitude and demeanor (tact, sensitivity, and diplomacy).
• Detail oriented, able to audit work to avoid mistakes, and perform tasks accurately.
