This is a seasonal position to support the Sundance Industry Office department.
Office Location: CA
Position Reports to: Festival Manager, SIO
Employment Dates: 9/11/2017-2/9/2018
Wage: $14.25/hour
Considerations: Position is required to travel to Park City, UT during the January Film Festival. In addition, this role is required to work extended hours (evenings, weekends, some holidays) during key points and must be willing and available to respond to on-call needs as assigned.
Position Summary: Coordinates information gathering and communication logistical duties and provides administrative support to the Sundance Industry Office
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Tracks and updates Master List of SIO Registrants with accurate information regarding waitlists, photos, new member applications, changes, cancellations, waitlist, transfers, etc.
• Sends out all SIO eblast communications regarding Festival Registration and Festival Information
• Maintains and updates accurate information for applicable SIO lists/databases (Rights List, Screening Schedules, Public Contact List) and provides internal reports as directed
• Coordinates the SIO New Member Application process, includes creating the application workflow, collecting applications, and conducting research on applicants/companies.
• Assists Festival Manager with Industry Alliance pass/ticketing registration, including tracking allocations and order information, tracking and collecting photo submissions, distributing SIO communications, etc.
• Assists Festival Associate Manager with Sales Agent Registration and Ticketing.
• Coordinates Press & Industry (P&I) scanning procedures for SIO in collaboration with Tech, TOPS, and Press Office; at Festival, distribute P&I scanning reports to Sales Agents in a timely manner.
• Provides additional operational and administrative support to Associate Director, Festival Manager and Festival Associate Manager as needed.
• Tracks sales of Festival films prior to and during the Festival and creates a tracking document to distribute to internal stakeholders (Programming, Press, Film Office, leadership staff, etc.).
• Answers a high volume of general inquiries via phone and email in a timely manner.
• Completes a comprehensive written wrap report as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years administrative experience or related.
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Microsoft and Google Products.
• Outstanding communication skills, telephone, written and interpersonal skills required to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including self management of work schedule ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines and events.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in film or related field preferred.
• Research skills preferred.
• Knowledge of the independent film industry preferred.
