SFMG is hiring a Vice President, Human Resources. The VPHR will report to the President of SFMG. The successful candidate will be a leader who thrives in a high growth environment where building a flexible, fast paced and results-oriented culture is a key part of the company's growth strategy.
The Vice President, Human Resources will be based in West Hollywood, CA and must be available for travel to business locations in Las Vegas, NV and Miami, FL.
Duties and Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• The Vice President, Human Resources must simultaneously be a good strategist, a superb project manager, and a straightforward, results-oriented implementer. The VPHR must develop, communicate and manage SFMG company direction of an expressive and celebrated approach to team building thereby reinforcing a results and performance based culture.
• Drive all internal HR efforts including: leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, training and development (sales training, skills training, business training), staffing/talent acquisition/retention, team building, change management, employee communication, policy and procedure development and implementation.
• Build a human resource function that is strategic, proactive, results oriented, operates with a sense of urgency, and is viewed as approachable, expert, competent, correct and effective.
• Enhance the strategic and tactical talent acquisition functions related to attracting top talent across a range of roles in designated business locations. These programs would include internships, college recruiting, industry recruiting, etc. that attract people with a passion for our vision and culture. Develop flexible processes that enable the company to systematically hire, onboard, train and reward new employees with flawless execution.
• Drive the strategy and execution around communication and dissemination of rapidly changing but pertinent information associated with events, public reporting information, colleague activities, shout outs, that have a positive and inspiring impact and engagement for the SFMG colleagues.
• Function as a key member of the SFMG Executive Team to ensure that human resource policies, practices, and programs support the business strategy, management principles, shared values, legal commitments, culture, and philosophy.
• Implement effective programs that will strengthen the culture and long term vision that continues to drive our results in a geographically dispersed and highly diverse team. Coaching Hiring and Supervisory Managers in their training and performance reviews to maximize employee development and advancement.
• Provide leadership and counsel to the Executive Team to lead talent planning, change management, and other initiatives that support the growth and development of the business.
• Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, training opportunity, employee development progress and develop specific programs to enhance. Develop and execute creative succession planning programs for key contributor and management positions, training and development programs for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities.
• Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.
Minimum Requirements:
• 8+ years of progressive experience as a Senior HR Manager, Director, VP or SVP of HR with transitional and developmental organization growth.
• Energized by taking approaches that increase business maturity without sacrificing agility and championing company culture.
• Extensive knowledge of HR practices, laws, and regulations in CA, NV and FL.
• Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations to put strategies into action.
• Advanced level knowledge of computers/applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook, ADP Run and industry talent platforms.

• Fluency in English is required. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Master's degree in Human Resources or equivalent, preferred.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Colleague Relations: Creates a positive environment and making sure that adequate training/coaching is in place for proactive relations; counseling regarding sensitive employee relations questions or issues and recommending appropriate courses of action; creating processes that enable colleagues to express their concerns and resolve conflicts.
• Employee Engagement: Ensures that engagement is based on an articulated employee value proposition aligned with the business strategy; improved employee retention and engagement through the appropriate monitoring of turnover; identification of at risk employees and the creation/development of retention strategies and programs.
• Talent Acquisition: Ensures the development and implementation of guidelines and processes that will attract and retain competent and committed colleagues; executing competency based interviewing techniques in the selection process, aligned with designated competency requirements; building a talent pipeline; championing the mindset that talent is a key resource.
• Compensation Expertise: Accountable for developing, recommending, implementing, and maintaining compensation programs, policies, and procedures that deliver fair, competitive, and performance driven compensation.
