SFMG is looking for a Human Resources Generalist, who will be responsible for handling the Human Resources functions to ensure the timely and effective service to our internal clients, our most important asset - the SFMG team members.
This position reports directly to the Vice President, Human Resources and will provide Human Resources support by:
• Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including, but not limited to: Recruitment, selection recommendations (at the Corporate location and instructing satellite office personnel in the effective execution of these functions).
• Work with all benefit vendors and consultants.
• Prepare employee information for payroll, including hires, employee files, performance improvement plans, performance reviews, termination and investigation administration.
• Administer payroll processing.
• Vacation and Sick leave administration.
• Unemployment and workers' compensation administration.
• Training administration.
• Manage and maintain confidential information.

Qualifications:?
• - Associates Degree in the fields of Human Resources, Business Management or Industrial Relations required. College degree is desirable. Equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement. Professional Human Resources designation (s) is highly desirable or the ability to obtain one or more designations with in the first 18 months of hire.
• Three to five years of experience in Human Resources is required, with experience in the areas of recruitment, employee benefits administration, employee relations, Workers Compensation, Unemployment administration, and Short and Long-Term Disability administration. Experience processing payroll is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of basic Human Resources laws and principals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to work with all levels of employees is required. Ability to provide sound advice and determine the appropriate action required in sensitive situations is also required.
• Awareness of Human Resources laws and requirements in CA, NV and FL.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of or experience with automated payroll systems is highly desirable (ADP Run). Knowledge of office equipment operations. Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully.
• This position requires acceptance and signature of confidentiality agreements.
• Must be able stand and/or sit for long periods of time and the ability carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work outside of normal business hours (including weekends and/or holidays) as job duties or assignments require, sometimes with little advance notice.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
