SFMG is currently looking for Director of Production Management, West Coast. 6+ Years of concert performance event management
This exciting role on the west coast team requires a successful career track of concert performance management, superior attention to detail and an interactive approach to team development.
Job Functions:
• Reports directly to the President of SFMG. -
• A demonstrated passion for music and a thorough understanding of the music business and the roles of various departments of a record label, artist talent and concert venues. -
• Identify, source and book new business accounts with Executive Team to develop the company growth based on established SFMG modules.
• Develop, mentor and manage a team of two (2) Project Production Managers, Production Coordinators and a team of support associates.
• Partner with Executive Team on company strategy and procedural compliance with regard to best practices, execution and legal requirements.
• Assign accounts and clients with production team and monitor progress.
• Advance assigned artist performance and tour production directly with venues.
• Maintain a personal client base and goal. Coordinate all contracted event requirements to include, but not limited to, negotiated accommodations, catering rider requirements, and onsite venue press interviews.
• Establish and manage production team operating expenses while maintaining company budget requirements.
• Manage and execute the logistics of Team Meetings on a scheduled basis as well as conference calls and videoconferences for the venue advance. Coach and train direct reports on effective and positive communication techniques. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and must be able to correspond professionally and effectively via email, and telephone.
• Entertainment for further development of clients and return accounts is expected in this role.
• Managing and tracking social media assets/elements including liaising between artist talent/teams, production and creative partnership teams to push out campaign elements through SFMG social media platforms for events.
• Strong proficiency and working knowledge of Mac, PC and CAD experience (proficiency in MS Word & Excel, PowerPoint, familiar with Adobe Creative Suite)
• Responsible for compliance of team and client confidentiality. This position requires acceptance and signature of confidentiality agreements.
• Must have own vehicle and a valid driver's license. Work travel expense compensation to be provided.
• Must be able stand and/or sit for long periods of time and the ability carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work outside of normal business hours (including weekends and/or holidays) as job duties or assignments require, sometimes with little advance notice.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
Experience: -
• 6+ Years of concert performance event management.
• 4+ Years of management/supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Professional references required.
Education: -
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
