The Social Media Marketing Intern will be involved in the continued development of an ongoing social marketing campaign to support our website content. The applicant should be internet-savvy, passionate about social media, and a fan of music, movies, television and/or other pop culture arenas.
In addition to gaining leadership skills and real-world experience while working on the campaign, the intern will gain skills in cross-departmental communications, digital content creation, and strategic thinking.
A large part of the work for this position will be done researching and identifying content that will be attractive to our demographic and fulfill the overall social strategy. Dedication to timely and on-target posting is of the greatest importance.
This is a remote position working from your own computer 10-15 hours a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop marketing content to be used in various digital media venues including email, social media, and websites.
Collaborate with others to identify potential partnership and content creation sources.
Conduct research and report on industry and competitor activities.
Maintain good working relationships and have timely, honest, positive two-way communication with interactive team members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledgeable in pop culture including Music, Movies, Video Games, Television
Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality
Ability to diligently work independently on developing engaging content
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills needed
Must have excellent computer skills - the ability to create and manipulate HTML documents is beneficial
Experience in using various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
Proven experience in multi-tasking
Ability to take direction to keep campaign strategies on track
