Primary Responsibility:
STARZ is looking for a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist to manage the day-to-day project management activities supporting online and mobile experiences and content updates for the STARZ digital audience that effectively supports STARZ business, Marketing and Social objectives. This individual is expected to manage the content updates for STARZ owned digital properties as well as drive the more complex/visible digital programs through from conceptualization through to launch, including maintenance and reporting. Regular interaction with internal STARZ departments (PR, IT, Marketing Communications, QA, Promotions Scheduling, Net Ops, etc.) as well as external agencies is also required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support and execute day-to-day administrative and editorial needs of STARZ com and m starz com through the effective management of promotional content and editorial calendars.
• Perform routine maintenance of STARZ owned/managed social networks.
• Utilize web-based scheduling and publishing tools to build, publish and track campaigns, sites, and promotions on STARZ com and other owned digital properties.
• Work in close collaboration with creative, production, technology and asset teams to administer and manage digital marketing content assets, copy and promotional details.
• Troubleshoot and protect the accuracy and timeliness of all STARZ sites and digital brand on a daily basis.
• Must be able to maintain accurate publishing processes (incl. QA/proofing) and project tracking mechanisms for use or review by supervisor
• Work with Director Digital Marketing to develop additional analyses and reporting to track site and user behaviors across STARZ com
• Coordinate and track image, video and other asset requests with designers, media agencies and other internal departments
• Ability to work with web based tools and online publishing systems.
• Strong administrative and organization, project management, tracking and follow-up skills (experience shepherding projects from concept through execution including ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with changing priorities and projects with competing program needs, with daily tracking and regular follow-up)
• Strong administrative skills and ATTENTION TO DETAIL are critical; ability to self-check work and the work of others on a daily basis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate across various functions including design, technology, marketing, and agencies)
• Excellent grammatical skills needed; ability to copy edit/write online promotional messaging
• Evaluate and report progress in terms of quality and performance metrics.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task changing priorities and projects
• Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Manage, direct and plan complex projects as a part of larger enterprise programs.
• Act as liaison with account teams, third party vendors and implementation partners.
• Build and maintain working relationships with all team members, stakeholders and partners.
• Coordinate design, development and testing activities.
• Engage appropriate business and technical resources to the project when needed.
• Actively manage, track and communicate project issues and risks, escalating when necessary.
• Familiarity with best practices for requirements gathering, design specifications and testing
• Comfortable with technical terminology and concepts.
• Maintain knowledge of Digital and Mobile marketing technologies and practices to ensure successful delivery of programs.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
• BA or BS degree in Marketing, Communication or similar discipline (Marketing background is required), 3+ years of professional work experience with online/digital focus (either services/agency or client side) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Significant experience using web-based CMS.
• Experience using social media administrative consoles to manage and schedule content/assets
• Experience with html and html editing software.
• Proven track record of successful process management and improvement.
